MSP Reports for Calvert Co.


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Oct. 22, 2013)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 10/15/2013 at 9:09 am, Trooper First Class Oles stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 at Pardoe Rd. in Lusby. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Christopher N. Ciappio, 25 of Lusby, was arrested and transported to the MSP Barrack in Prince Frederick for processing.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 10/16/2013 at 4:12 pm, Trooper First Class Logsdon responded to the 7500 block of Beaudet Lane in Chesapeake Beach for a reported destruction of property. A basement window at the home was broken with a brick. Investigation continues.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY AND THEFT: On 10/16/2013 at 7:07 pm, Trooper First Class Logsdon responded to the 6500 block of 10th St. in Chesapeake Beach, for a theft complaint. An air conditioning unit was damaged and parts were stolen from inside the unit. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 10/16/2013 at 8:16 pm, Trooper First Class West responded to the Super 8 Motel in Prince Frederick in reference to a complaint of drug use. The manager advised that the odor of marijuana was detected in one of the hallways of the motel. Investigation revealed that Hubert M. Cherry Jr., 32 of Anlander, NC, was in possession of marijuana. Cherry was arrested and transported to the MSP Barrack in Prince Frederick for processing.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 10/19/2013 at 2:13 pm, Trooper Barlow responded to the Walmart parking lot in Prince Frederick for a reported theft from a vehicle. An unlocked vehicle was entered and a wallet and backpack with electronic items were stolen. Investigation continues.

Scott M. Richards, 52, of Chesapeake Beach, arrested on 10/18/2013 @ 09:28 am by TPR. J. Palumbo

Kevin D. Hinchliffe, 42, of Mechanicsville, arrested on 10/20/2013 @ 12:44 am by TFC B. Wiesemann
