LA PLATA, Md. (Nov. 14, 2014)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

CCSO AND TOWN OF LA PLATA POLICE TO CONDUCT SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT: On Wednesday, Nov. 26, during the evening hours, members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Operations Unit and officers with the Town of La Plata police department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the La Plata area.

RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT: On Nov. 13 at 10:31 p.m., officers responded to the 11500 block of Lady Allison Court in Waldorf for the report of gunshots. It was discovered unknown suspect(s) discharged a firearm, striking a house and an unoccupied car. No one was injured. PFC J. Hornickel is investigating.

BURGLARY: On Nov. 13, during the overnight hours, unknown suspect(s) broke into a business in the 2800 block of Old Washington Road in Waldorf and stole three go-carts and an ATV. PFC S. Chandler is investigating.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Nov. 12, during the overnight hours, unknown suspect(s) damaged several mailboxes on Truman Manor Lane, Celestial Lane and Stowe Place in Waldorf. PFC R. Walls is investigating.

DETECTIVES SEEK SUSPECTS’ IDENTITIES IN THEFT CASES: Charles County Sheriff’s investigators are seeking the public’s help identifying the suspects involved in two thefts that occurred at the same house in the 2400 block of Pimpernel Drive in Waldorf. Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest .

On Sept. 30, two suspects broke into the victim’s cars and stole several items. Security photos show one of the suspects had long hair and was wearing pants with a stars and stripes design. On Nov. 6, at 3:30 a.m., two suspects broke into the garage of the same residence an d stole two ATVs, power tools and a pressure washer. They loaded the stolen equipment into the bed of a white pick-up truck, possibly a Dodge, which was parked in the driveway of a nearby vacant house.
