MSP Reports for St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 19, 2014)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On Friday, December 12 at 4:18 pm, TFC M. Pitcher responded to the Kohl's Department Store for a reported theft. Investigation revealed that Patricia A. Bates, 30, of Lexington Park, had stolen several items from Kohl's and Dick's Sporting Goods. Further investigation revealed that Ms. Bates had also stolen items from Kohls on December 7. Ms. Bates was arrested and charged with Theft Scheme Less than $1000 and Theft Less than $1000. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (14-MSP-041472)

ASSAULT: On Monday, December 15 at 6:34 pm, TFC S. Ditoto responded to the 25000 block of Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown for a reported malicious destruction of property. Investigation revealed that Brett Ryan Miller, 31, of Leonardtown, had engaged in an altercation with a female victim at the residence. During the dispute, Mr. Miller damaged the victim's vehicle and assaulted her. TFC Ditoto made contact with Mr. Miller and placed him under arrest for Assault Second Degree and Malicious Destruction of Property under $1000. Mr. Miller was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (14-MSP-041871)

ASSAULT: On Monday, December 15 at 9:05 pm, Tpr. D. Buckalew responded to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack for a reported domestic assault. Investigation revealed that Dylan A. Sedgewick, 21, of Lexington Park had assaulted two female victims, an adult and a juvenile. Mr. Sedgewick was placed under arrest for Assault Second Degree and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
