MSP Reports for St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 30, 2015)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT, THEFT: On Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 12:37 pm, TFC R. Jackson responded to the McKay's Food and Drug in Hollywood, MD for a reported theft in progress. Investigation revealed that the store manager had observed the Felicia Rokita Young, 52, of Chaptico, concealing numerous items in her bags and on her person. The manager and assistant managers positioned themselves in front of the store exits in order to prevent Ms. Young from leaving the store until police arrived. Ms. Young pushed the three victims in an attempt to exit the store. Further investigation revealed that the store security camera footage documented Ms. Young stealing merchandise from the store on Friday, April 24, 2015 as well. Ms. Young was arrested and charged with Assault Second Degree and two counts of Theft: Less $1000 value. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-014638)

ASSAULT: On Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 2:50 pm, Cpl. K. Hunt responded to the 29000 block of Finch Ct. in Mechanicsville for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that Sarah Preston Schrock, 56, of Mechanicsville, had assaulted a female victim. Ms. Schrock was placed under arrest for Assault Second Degree and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. ROBBERY: On Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 11:49 pm, Tpr. E. Varesko and TFC M. Pitcher responded to the 46000 block of S. Shangri La Dr. for a reported armed robbery. Investigation revealed that three victims were outside of their residence when three black males jumped over the fence displaying handguns. The suspects ordered the victims into a shed and stole items from their pockets, including cash, cell phones, medication, and medical supplies. The suspects shut the shed door and fled towards a nearby street. All suspects were wearing dark clothing and one had a white shirt around his face. Troopers and St. Mary's County Sheriff Deputies canvassed the area in an attempt to locate the suspects, however they were unable to locate them. The case remains open pending further investigation.
