76-year-old Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Upper Marlboro


UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (June 27, 2016)—The Prince George's Co. Police Dept. is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Upper Marlboro. The victim is 76-year-old Gregory Scott Pharr of Park Road in Upper Marlboro.

On June 24th, at about 12:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Watkins Park Drive at Chesterton Drive for a collision involving an SUV and a pedestrian.

The preliminary investigation reveals the SUV was making a left turn onto Watkins Park Drive when it struck Pharr as he was attempting to cross the roadway. Preliminarily, it appears Pharr was in a crosswalk. Pharr was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. The driver of the SUV remained on the scene.
