LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 6, 2016)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

6/28/2016 THEFT: Deputy J. Lacey responded to the Best Buy in California for the report of theft. The witness advised the suspect, Miriam Rachel Lorenson, age 34, of Hollywood, entered the store with a large purse, which she filled with several phone cases. Lorenson then took the phone cases out of their boxes, concealed them in her purse and quickly exited the store. The phone cases were recovered and Deputy Johnson made contact with the suspect, who initially provided a false name. Lorenson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft Less Than $1000 and Did Knowingly and Willfully Assume Another Name. CASE# 33448-16

7/2/2016 ASSAULT: Deputy D. McClure responded to the 21000 block of Ritz Drive in Lexington Park for a reported domestic assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Herbert Eugene Knott, age 44, of Nanjemoy, grabbed the victim's wrist and pushed the victim to the ground during an argument; then fled the scene. Knott returned a second time and grabbed his belongings, then returned a third time, forcing entry into the residence by kicking in the front door. Knott was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where he was charged with Home Invasion, Fourth Degree Burglary, Second Degree Assault, and Nine Counts of Failing to Comply with a Protective Order. 7/2/2016 THEFT: Deputy G. Muschette responded to the Kohl's store in Lexington Park for the report of a theft in progress. The suspect, Raquan Howard Johnson, age 18, of California, attempted to conceal merchandise in a backpack and leave without paying. The second suspect, Tyreak Otis Braswell, age 22, of Lexington Park, passed clothing to Johnson. They were both transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with Theft Less Than $1000. CASE# 34239-16

7/4/2016 ASSAULT: Deputy R. Trudell responded to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for the report of an assault. An inmate, Cory Michael McAndrew, age 25, of Lusby, assaulted another inmate during an argument. The inmate sustained noticeable injuries to the right hand, right shoulder, and left elbow. McAndrew was charged with Second Degree Assault on an Inmate. CASE# 34547-16

7/5/2016 HOMICIDE: On July 5, deputies responded to the 21000 block of Windsor Drive in Lexington Park for the report of a serious assault. Upon arrival, they found the victim in her yard suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim, Cecelia Darlene Stubbs, age 50, of Lexington Park, was transported to a medical facility where she later succumbed to her injuries. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Information was developed identifying Patrick Henry Bush, age 51, of Lexington Park, as the suspect. It was learned Bush fled the scene in the victim's 2013 Nissan Altima. A lookout was broadcast for the victim's vehicle which was later located by the Calvert County Sheriff's Office, who, after a vehicle pursuit, apprehended the suspect on Maryland Route 231 in Charles County. Bush was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He is being charged with First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle. UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: A victim advised a known suspect used the victim's car without consent in the 36000 block of Manor Road in Chaptico. Deputy M. Pleisse investigated the case. CASE# 34722-16

RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT: A victim discovered bullet rounds fired through a window and lodged into the wall of the victim's residence in the 22000 block of Valley Drive Estates in Lexington Park. The case is being investigated by Deputy S. Shelko. CASE# 34672-16

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) entered a victim's residence and stole property in the 24000 block of Apple Turnover Road in Hollywood. Corporal J. Yingling is investigating the case.. CASE# 33979-16

BURGLARY: Between 6/8 and 6/28, unknown suspect(s) entered a victim's garage and stole property in the 48000 block of Sea Side View Road in Ridge. Deputy D. Holdsworth is investigating the case. CASE# 34019-16

THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) stole a victim's Maryland Trailer Registration Plate in the 29000 block of Point Lookout Road in Mechanicsville. Deputy J. Bush is investigating the case. CASE# 34075-16

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and stole property in the 21000 block of Hancock Road in Lexington Park. Deputy D. Mcclure is investigating the case. CASE# 34077-16

THEFT: During the overnight hours of 6/30/2016, unknown suspect(s) stole a rear Maryland registration plate in the 21000 block of Lexwood Drive in Lexington Park. Deputy G. Muschette is investigating the case. CASE# 34079-16

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a residence in the 20000 block of Beachcomber Lane in in Leonardtown. Nothing appeared to be stolen. Deputy T. Payne is investigating the case. CASE# 34108-16

THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a safe and stole property in the 26000 block of Oak Ridge Drive in Mechanicsville. Corporal J. Yingling is investigating the case. CASE# 34187-16

THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) stole property from a residence in the 48000 block of Jutland Farm Lane in St. Inigoes. Deputy T. Payne is investigating the case. CASE# 34442-16

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and stole property in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Great Mills. Deputy H. Smith is investigating the case. CASE# 34585-16

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and stole property in the 16000 block of Three Notch Road in Ridge. Corporal E. O'Connor is investigating the case. CASE# 4561-16

THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) damaged the front door to a residence in the 39000 block of Lady Baltimore Avenue in Leonardtown. Deputy J. Pleisse is investigating the case. CASE# 34546-16
