Weston Shelby Fones, 91, of Benedict, MD formerly of Forestville and Huntingtown, MD passed away on June 15, 2016 in his home. Born August 28, 1924 in Warsaw, Virginia he was the son of the late William Smith Fones and Josephine Seigel.

Weston honorably served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He enjoyed crabbing, playing cards and golf. He loved to spend time with his family especially his great-granddaughter Summer.

Weston is predeceased by his parents, wife Lula Francis Fones, daughter Mary Lou Fields and siblings Kirby Fones, Clifton Fones, and Lorraine Ryburn. He is survived by his son-in-law Gary Fields of Benedict, MD, granddaughter Shelby Rothrock of Laurel, MD and great-granddaughter Summer Rothrock.

Family welcomes friends for Weston's Life Celebration on Wednesday June 29, 2016 from 9:30am to 11:30am followed by a funeral service at 11:30am at Brinsfield-Echols funeral home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Cheltenham Veteran's Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols funeral home.
