William "Wayne" Corbin, age 81, of La Plata, Maryland died March 21, 2020. Wayne was a Machine Operator for 55 years at the National Park Service where he won many awards for achievements during his career. He was instrumental in the rescue and recovery clean-up of Air Florida Flight 90 in January 1982. He helped unveil the Memorial Statue dedicated to Lady Bird Johnson. He loved nature and was an avid hunter. He was a great husband and father who was always there to help at work and at home.

He was the son of Marvin William Corbin and Catherine Sallie Raines. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Gary Allen Corbin and Kenneth Corbin and his sisters, Pauline Sike and Sherry George. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Jean Gross Corbin; his sons, Wyatt Randall Corbin, William Allen Corbin, and Donald Corbin; his daughters, Amy Beulah Corbin, Darlene Ann Corbin Edwards, and Laura Corbin; his grandchildren, Katie, Erin, Justin, Austin, Brooke, Valerie, Herman, and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Bailey, Lily, and Logan; and his dog, Diesel.
