Kathleen Easter-Knott, 58, of Mechanicsville, Md. passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2020 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. Kathleen has resided in Mechanicsville for the past seventeen years.

She was the owner of Its-A-Celebration as an event planner. Kathy was previously employed by NAVFAC where she was the fleet manager for transportation at the Navy Yard for many years. Kathy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the barn with her daughter, she truly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Colleen Williams of Hughesville, Md., Kristen Lucas of Mechanicsville, Md., Michael Schwartz of Waldorf, Md., Alan Schwartz of Waldorf, Md. and Laura Knott of Mechanicsville, Md.; and ten grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Brian Easter, Barbara Brewer, Grace McGilton, Roy Easter and Berti-Jo Leymeister.

The family will welcome friends for Kathleen's Life Celebration on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Md. 20622. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with interment following immediately after the service.
