Clifford Warren Burdette, 79, of Hollywood, MD, died peacefully at Hospice House of St. Mary's on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.

He was the husband of Verla Phyllis (Jones) Burdette, of 52 years, married in St. Louis, Missouri on Aug 3, 1968.

Born June 9, 1941, at home in Damascus, MD, to the late Claude Edward Burdette and Marjorie Rebecca (McElfresh) Burdette.

Cliff, graduated from Damascus High School, class of June 1959, attended four years at Randolph Macon University. After serving in the Army from 17 Aug 1964 and being Honorably Discharged on 16 Aug 1967, he graduated from Towson University in 1968. He retired from Minitech Corporation, Hollywood, MD, March 2002; taught Mathematics at Chopticon High School, from Sept. 1968 to June 1978.

Cliff is survived by his two children, son Gregory Warren Burdette (friend Vickie Ingram) of California, MD; daughter Kristi Camille Quade of Candler, NC; grandchildren, Allison Camille Quade, Corey Adam Quade and KhloeAnne Verla Quade; Siblings, Hazel Mae Hoyle of Kemptown, MD; Donald Edward Burdette of New York; Grace Rebecca Snapp of Gaithersburg, MD and Claude Michael Burdette and wife Eunice of Westminster, MD, brother-in-law William David Jones and wife Sally of Florida; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, plus many friends and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Keith Adam Burdette.

Family will receive friends on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 10:00am to11:00am, with a prayer service recited at 11:00am by Pastor Lori Hays at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 22020 Chancellors Run Road, Great Mills, MD 20634.
