Clayton Edward Turner, "Clay", 85, of California, MD, formerly of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on February 19, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Born on June 6, 1938 in Caro, MI, he was the son of the late Almeta Childs and the late Rollin E. Turner. Clay was the loving husband of Doris Jean Turner, whom he married on June 22, 1962 in Akron, MI. He is survived by his sons, Jon Turner (Jill) of Great Mills, MD and Steven Turner (Stacy) of Lewis Center, OH, his brother Donald Turner (Donna) of Kingsport, TN, 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Clay graduated from Taylor University in 1959 with a Bachelor's of Science, and later earned his Master's of Divinity in 1963 from Gordon Divinity. He was a minister for the Presbyterian Church for 43 years retiring in 2006. Clay recently moved to St. Mary's County, MD from Jacksonville, FL in April 2023, and enjoyed nature, as well as spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
