Frederick Oliver Gott,80, of Port Republic, Maryland passed away at his home with his loving wife beside him on February 21, 2024. Fred served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Colorado from 1967 to 1969.

Fred was raised on the Gott's family farm working in the tobacco fields, raising soybeans and corn and helping with the farm animals. As a young working man, his first job was with Colonel Saunders chicken farm right next door. He also worked for Dorsey Gray ford for 32 years as a Part Assistance Manager. He worked many other jobs in his career at The Enquire Gazette, Lusby Motor co. and The Gott Company.

Fred had two favorite sayings, "Poor Fred" and "I did this in the Army". He loved his cars always washing, waxing and keeping them shinning all the time. His first vehicle was a 1956 Studebaker, but his true love was the ford Mustangs. Fred had many hobbies which included ice skating, shooting pool with his friends and family and going deer, goose, and wild turkey hunting with his brothers. He also enjoyed playing softball for the Dorsey Gray Ford Team, joining the Old Timers 35 and over Team. He loved going to Potomac Speedway at Budds Creek watching the dirt track races. In his crazy wild side younger years, Fred and his friend Joe would go from beach to beach drinking beer and chasing women. He loved to watch wrestling, Baseball, basketball and football. He was an avid Ravens fan. He loved to watch the old western movies including Gunsmoke and the Rifleman, etc. He would always say to Mary, I haven't seen this one before. After retirement he became one of McDonalds members breakfast team, which is a very lively bunch to be around.

Fred leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Hellen (Wallace) Gott. Brother of. Ruby Alice (Gott)
Seyffert, and Mason Lee Gott (Connie). He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Linda Lee Gott and many nieces and nephews.
