June 6 1941 April 5 2025 Ann Owen Gardiner passed away peacefully on April 5 2025 in Port Tobacco Maryland at the age of 83 She was born on June 6 1941 at Georgetown Hospital in Washington DC daughter of Gustave Gus and Mary Agnes Meme Owen Ann graduated from Archbishop Neale School in La Plata MD attended Strayer University in Washington DC and went on to dedicate her career to healthcare as a medical secretary where her attention to detail and compassion touched many lives Outside of work Ann was passionate about her family gardening doll collecting miniatures travel boating and her church community where she found comfort strength and fellowship throughout her life She enjoyed supporting her community by volunteering at the gift shops at St Ignatius Church and Charles Regional Medical Center Ann was deeply devoted to her loved ones and is survived by her granddaughter Lauren Gardiner grandson David C Gardiner III daughterinlaw Carol Tennery Gardiner sisters in law Sister Mary Theresa Gardiner IHM Susan Larkin and Catherine Gardiner Forkum and many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years David C Gardiner and her cherished son David C Gardiner Jr Anns warmth strength and loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her A mass of Christian burial in celebration of her life will be held at Saint Ignatius Catholic Church in Chapel Point Maryland on Monday April 14 Viewing is from 93011 am the funeral mass begins at 11 am with burial after The family invites all to a repass at the church hall following the service Funeral arrangements provided by ArehartEchols Funeral Home La Plata Md In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anns memory to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation httpsthemmrforg Pallbearers BR Winkler Jack Salyers Mark Gardiner Hugh Gardiner IV Mike Gardiner Mitch Alamedine Honorary Pallbearer Larry Hicks Online condolences may be shared with the family at arehartecholscom |
