Rudolph Christian Worch III (Chris), 85, of Leonardtown, MD passed away on April 7, 2025. Chris was born in Washington D.C. on August 10, 1939, and was the loving son of Rudolph C. Worch Jr. and Marjorie Preston Worch. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Vivian; by his son Jay and daughter-in-law Jayne Worch (Drayden, MD); his 5 grandchildren - Lauren Oliver (Nick), Brady Quigg, Colin Quigg, Carley Worch, Thomas Worch and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Denny Worch and Rick Worch (Ann), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Rudy and Marjorie and his stepmother Ruth Worch, his son Richard S. Quigg Jr., and his brother Rev. Donald Worch.

Chris was raised in the Washington D.C. area and attended Archbishop John Carroll High School. He attended both New Mexico School of Mines and American University before pursuing a career in the electrical trade. After his apprenticeship in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, he joined E.C. Ernst Inc., where he would spend his entire career before retiring in 2003 as president of the company. He served on the Maryland Statewide Master Electrical Licensing Board for 6 years and the St. Mary's County Electrical Board for 12 years. He was recently recognized as a 65-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He was an avid decoy collector, often travelling the East Coast to attend auctions and events. He also loved spending time with his family. Many of those years were spent on the water in Valley Lee or at vacation homes in Ocean City, MD and later Delaware.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00PM and prayers at 7:00PM in the Mattingly-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A. Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025 at 9:30AM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leonardtown, MD. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens in Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Brady Quigg, Colin Quigg, Thomas Worch, Nick Oliver, Chris Worch, and Keith Bridgwater.
