Dede Annette Brady
July 19, 1958 - July 23, 2025

Lifelong Maryland resident Dede Annette Brady passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, at the age of 67. A resident of Charlotte Hall, MD for over 30 years, Dede leaves behind a legacy of love and care that touched all who knew her.

Born on July 19, 1958, in Prince George's County, MD, Dede was the cherished daughter of the late John Elsworth Langley and Jeanette Alice Langley. After graduating high school, she married the love of her life, Leon Ray "Boots" Brady, on June 9, 1979. Together, they built an extraordinary love story, one that most people say is something only you see in the movies. Their dedication was not just between themselves, Dede and Boots raised two devoted daughters: Megan Annette Brady of Mechanicsville, MD, and Ashley Jeannette Brady of Charlotte Hall, MD.

Dede's purpose in life was to care for her family, her home, and others. She was a homemaker whose greatest joy came from nurturing children regardless of whether they were biologically hers or not. Being spoiled by Dede was one of her greatest gifts to give and let's just say pancakes, doughnuts and ice cream were always involved. She also found happiness in sunbathing, shopping, watching General Hospital, Family Feud and reruns of Mike & Molly. The entire family has indicated that Dede's love for Morgan Wallen will never be forgotten. Seeing her dance and sing all his songs is a strong memory that will live in their household forever.

Always finding her faith, Dede collected angels, prayer cards, and watched Joel Osteen from the comfort of her home.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Leon Brady; her daughters, Megan and Ashley; her sister Jeannette Marie Ward and brother-in-law Carlie Ward; and her treasured grandchildren, Kendall and Ava Dickerson. Dede is also remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews—John, Misty, Kelly, Carlie, Jack, Hunter, Jessie—and many more who were blessed by her warmth and generosity.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation, Thursday, July 31, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with prayers beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.

A funeral service will be held at Brinsfield Funeral Home on Friday, August 1, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 38888 Dr. Johnson Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659.

Pallbearers for Dede are John Ward, Jack Ward, Hunter Lindsay, Jesse Lindsay, Nick Beall, Donald Hill, Ronald Brady and Christopher Beatrez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carlie Ward, Justin McCollum, Brian Lilly, Jim Brady and Steven Roach.

Dede will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she gave so freely and the lives she touched so deeply.
