Sue Ann Cropper
November 28, 1937 - April 12, 2026 On April 12, 2026, Sue Ann Cropper, 88, of Hollywood, MD, passed away, surrounded by her family. Sue was born in Baltimore, MD, on November 28, 1937, to the late Vernon and Mildred Colliflower. She was a graduate of Great Mills High School and received her associate's degree from St. Mary's Female Seminary. On June 21, 1958, Sue married Reverend Dale Cropper, Jr. They met at the 235 Drive Inn in Town Creek, Maryland, where she worked at that time. The two were blessed with two sons, Dale Cropper of Leonardtown, MD, and Adam Cropper (Jeri) of Leonardtown, MD. Sue worked at the Happy Day School and then as a secretary for a defense contractor, where she made many lifelong friends. Several of whom came to visit and reminisce with her up until her last day. In her leisure hours, she delighted in sewing, crocheting, ceramics, duckpin bowling (in her youth, she was the doubles state champion), and kayaking with her husband. Spending time with her family and her Christian community brought her great joy. She cherished spending time and going out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with her close friends and family. Additionally, she attended mid-week services followed by lunch at St. George's Episcopal Church. She had a fondness for nature, loving beautiful spring azaleas, birds of all kinds (especially cardinals), and spending precious time with her beloved pups, Muffin and DT (who both preceded her in death), and her sweet 2-year-old, Bechion Charlie. Most of all, she treasured her summer vacations with family in Ocean City, MD. Sue was predeceased in death by her parents and beloved husband. She is survived by her sons, brother Richard Colliflower (Peggy) of Bushwood, MD, Vikki Norris (Francis) of Lexington Park, MD, and grandchildren Randi Pinno, Silas Cropper, and two great-grandchildren, Penelope Pinno and Foster Pinno. On Friday, April 17, 2026, the family will receive friends for the visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with the service beginning at 11:00 am, officiated by Reverend Greg Syler at All Faith Episcopal Church, 38885 New Market Turner Rd, Mechanicsville, MD 20659. Interment will follow after the service in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Silas Cropper, Richard Colliflower, Ryan Pinno, Randy Johnson, Phil Draper, and Ardene Carroll.
