Edward Leroy "Buddy" Raum, Jr died in him home October 9, 2006. He was born July 30, 1942 in Washington DC. He was the son of Edward L. "Chuck" Raum Sr and the late Mary "Sister" Raum.

He joined the U.S. Navy in 1960. He traveled the world for three years before being honorably discharged in 1963. He had several plumbing jobs in the years following before going to work for NSWC. He eventually retired in 1993.

Edward enjoyed fishing, telling jokes, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelley Lomax.

He is survived by his wife, Theda "Gizzy" Raum; sons, James Raum and his wife Cecilia, and Robert Raum; grandchildren, Karin Lomax, Jennifer Bowling and her husband David, Brittany Goldsmith, Jeffrey Goldsmith, Kimberly Swann, Kelly "Nikki" Raum, and Brittenny Lomax; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Nathan Bowling, and former daughter in law, Linda Swann.
Pallbearers will include James Raum, Robert Raum, Jeffrey Goldsmith, David Bowling, Thomas Proctor III, and Victor Foote.

Honorary pallbearers include Joe Gainer, Dick Gilroy, Mike Scruggs, and Robert "Bobby" Bearman.

He was the son of Edward L. "Chuck" Raum Sr and the late Mary "Sister" Raum.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, Oct 13, 10 am at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD

INTERMENT: Maryland Veterans Cemetery following service
